It has now been decided that the faction the mod is going to replace is
Averni(Gaul)
To be honest I did kinda hoped that more people would've been interested in helping with deciding stuff with this mod. A lot of people have written that they have ideas, but never gave any names on factions. Of course I do appreciate the people who have supported the idea of making the poll.
So the faction has been picked I now need to figure out how to change the faction name. (I am not going to change the building names) I am going to figure out how to delete the other units in the faction so the dwarves are the only ones that are able to be recruited. Then I might change the banner of the faction. Then in the end I'm going to try with the artillery again.
There are still some work to be done, BUT! the mod is close to be done now. I don't have any release date. I am not going to give myself a deadline. If you haven't watched the video yet give it a go.
Well i have put a fair amount of time into Rome 2 but somehow i don't know the factions that well. But i would say starting them out in an area that is particularly hilly or mountainous should help narrow down the list of factions that could be replaced.
That would create the right atmosphere for the faction.
do they have to replace a playable faction?
there are plenty of mods to unlock the minor factions. could replace one of them?
It would bedste best if its a playable faction. First if I replaced one of the factions that you need a mod for I would have figure out how the play all factions mod works and figure out how my mod should be mixed with that. But if you have a suggestion then please tell. :)
I wouldn't know. Maybe the Barbarians.
Which one? There are a lot of barbarian factions.
Sorry, meant to put Gauls.
So you mean Arveni? (Gaul faction)
Yeah, The Gauls were hairy and un-shaven anyway, that would fit a dwarf.:)
Well you are the only one who have commented a faction so I guess we have a winner!!! xD
