The vehicle crusher in Portland is now functional

One of the most iconic Grand Theft Auto: III features is now available in GTA: Underground. It allows players to deliver vehicles to the vehicle crusher in exchange for an unique monetary reward, and will be available in Snapshot 3.4 in both singleplayer and multiplayer.

The crusher in detail

Accepted vehicles
The vehicle crusher accepts any in-game vehicle, as long as it's not too large. Certain vehicles such as the giant Dozer which can be found in Bone County, San Andreas at the quarry are simply too large for the crusher to handle.

Earning money by delivering vehicles
The amount of money you can earn depends on the vehicle. If it is in bad shape, you will earn less money for it. All in-game vehicles will also have their very own price tag for the crusher, meaning certain vehicle models will earn you a lot more money than others.

The crusher in UG-MP
Right now the vehicle crusher is available in UG-MP, however there are a handful of problems which we would like to fix before or after we release Snapshot 3.4. Right now we are in the process with debugging some key game-breaking issues which we want to get rid of first.

What happens if I manage to fall into the crusher?
Good question. Let's say it might hurt.

Will you add more vehicle crushers?

Right now we designed the code in such a way to allow us to easily introduce new vehicle crushers, and we are considering adding one in Midway. There are no concrete plans to introduce them though, but we are certainly considering it.
