Why is Barney not wearing a combine suit?: because in this storyline Barney is in fact not undercover in the Combine force, instead he sneaks in alleyways, roof tops, and tunnels watching combine and listening in on them.
How the Combine control/get materials: The Combine tend to just reuse human made things because much of it is already useful for gathering materials, emission has gone up since Combine control. The combine put humans into hard labor most of the time, unless they have a disease or a injury then they will just let them die. The Combine also use gates to block off most areas, each area is usually split into a square and has a tollgate.
What C17 looks like: Think about how in the 1920s there were slums and factory conditions were horrible.. well that's pretty much a general idea of what C17 looks like, a gloomy industrial, smoggy, city. And when I said the Combine reuse human made things, they will reuse different types of energy such as steam, gasoline, electricity, etc.. C17 is a mix of both new and very old technology. Disease is also rampant in C17 because of the bad conditions, so its common to see a man dead on the ground. Crime is also rampant throughout C17 and that means moltovs, murder, etc... C17 also consists of several languages including French being the main language, Russian, English, and Italian. Overall C17 is designed to be a living hell.
Outside of C17: farmland, small towns, and wasteland.
What to expect: Lots of 70s humor, culture, music, etc.. There might also be references to certain historical ideas.
What are you trying to go for?: A game that feels like your actually playing inside a artistic 70s sci-fi movie.
Gman: He is a mysterious man who doesn't say a lot throughout the story, and when he does say something its very vague and mysterious.

good but needs a little work
I mean I don't really know what I would change... I have been going with this storyline ever since I first started making the mod so there's already assets based upon this storyline. If you mean that I haven't covered everything.. then that's true, this is just everything I've thought of so far.
