STORY:
In
the the mid 20th century, when the world was still at war against the
Nazi's and the Japanese, America was building the first atomic bombs in
the Southeastern part of the state of Washington. These bombs were used
on Japan to finally end the war. Afterwords the "Hanford" site became a
Nuclear power plant and waste disposal site after yucca mountain in
Nevada was closed. Jump ahead to after Fallout 2. The Enclave, Greatly
Hurt by the destruction of the oil rig by the Chosen One and the war
with the NCR/Brotherhood, split. The bulk moving east to Washington D.C.
while the rest move south into the Mojave. In 2274 they find Yucca
mountain and learned about the final days of the site. Intrigued by the
Hanford site they leave except for a few who, having enough of the
Enclave stay in the Mojave. These become the "Remnants" seen in New
Vegas. By 2277 those who go to the Hanford site have set up a sizable
encampment and soon send scouts into the surrounding areas. They soon
discover from various travelers that the Enclave in the east was
defeated and that the NCR has control of Hoover Dam and, that Seattle
mainly Survived the war. Seeing an opportunity they pack up and
leave with only 14 men stationed at the Hanford Site. By 2280 the have
control over the city. They instinctively shoot non-Enclave personnel on
sight. But, as water and food run low they begin to allow people into
the city. The city prospers, familys move in and farms grow. Before long
the city gains a massive population, rivaled only by Shady Sands And
New Arroyo to the South. Now the NCR has become aware of them and asks
the Courier the infiltrate the Enclave and find a way to take them out
of the city.
