Hello, everyone. Adrian here, this will be the last company announcement, update, what ever you wanna call it. Our leader/programmer, Brandon(Velancious Jenks), and I have had a long, deep conversation. After some time of talking, he has explained to me how his life is going, and it isn't too great. Brandon feels he doesn't have enough time to hang out with friends, focus on his education, and live his life with this mod and company being a part of it. He wants to retire from the company, and live his life the way it was meant to be. So, in simplier terms, this is the end of The Lost Coast Corporation, Unit 648: First Encounter, and all that was related.
Don't blame him, he hasn't done anything. He just wants to live his life, and he can't do that while juggling coding(which is a bitch), school, friends, and family. If you have a problem with that, shut your fucking mouth, or you'll be talking with me. Brandon has agreed to answer anyones questions, if they have any. I know this is very sudden, for everyone, but it is was it is. We can't change that, its his life and his decision, and so, for the last time, I say goodbye my friends, as the manager of this company. Brandon and I will stay on Steam, enjoying ourselves with games, chatting with friends, and enjoying ourselves, and I urge you do the same. Move on.

Very sudden, unexpected and sad.
But quitting modding (technichally gaming), so he can continue gaming? And you said he doesn't have times to hang out with friends, but aren't you also his friend? You stated it as such yourself.
But who I am to question you guys. I know nothing.
Sad news. This mod seemed pretty cool. May I suggest asking him to keep the company alive, though leaving, making someone ELSE boss, and you just hiring another coder. It's a solution.
But do what you want. I'm no slave driver. I'm an Alien Slave killer, but no slave driver.
I was believing in this mod. It's sad news. I don't know to write here, because of my poor language and some other things such as sad mood.

Can we at least be able to download the work thats already been made on the mod so maybe somone else can finnish it?

Easy. Put on a Finnish flag. ;D
Is there going to be a version of the beta that does anything other than crash?
It shouldn't crash if you followed all of the steps. You might need Source SDK Base installed though.
Let me help clear the light for the rest of you:
1. This Mod was never gonna set a huge record (Me and Adrian knew this in the back of our heads)
2. Half of our team didn't do **** (2 of our Mappers couldn't even Map because their Hammer was crashing, and the rest of the team was just not 'dedicated' as we were)
3. Me and Adrian decided we had to end these troubles since life troubles would put alot of pressure on us (Adrian didn't really want to stay with this project, he wanted to get hired into another Mod Company and he successfully did while I just wanted to break away from the Mod completely)
I really feel bad to leave you guys in such a bad situation, but you guys can still check out the playable SMOD version (it doesn't crash if you follow each step specifically) and it has worked for many people.
