Two of the greatest bugs in the game have been fixed: the Sound System Error and the Multiplayer Invalid CD-key Error.

Vector Prime (and TSH) get fixed! Now you can finally play against your friends online, without the fear of encountering a Sound System Error.

Thanks to a fellow contributor to the Vector Prime project called adoxa, we are proud to present a new, fixed version of the Haegemonia game executable.
This file is basically the same as the english v2.1 variant, with two VERY important changes:

- The Sound System Error has been completely fixed by use of a bypass. This has been very thoroughly tested using a small test-modification, which has been built to reproduce the problem. The end results are very pleasing: even after many hours of gameplay we have received no error. Please note that the test-mod produced the error in the first 3 minutes, right after the production of the first squadron of "extreme sound system tester" starfighters. These fighters have been designed to reproduce the problem: they boasted eight weapons with an extremely fast refire rate. The fixed executable completely fixed this problem, we have received no errors no matter how many we have built.

- The Multiplayer Invalid CD-Key Error has also been completely fixed. Important note: this does NOT remove cd-key protection, you will STILL need a valid cd-key to use the game. This only affects multiplayer games: when playing multiplayer over the internet, you could have received an invalid cd-key error for no reason, even if you have a valid, retail-bought cd-key. This has dropped you from the game instantaneously, disallowing you more gameplay than a couple of seconds. Now, you will not receive this error, and can play multiplayer to your heart's extent.

Also, in the meantime, the Galactic Elections are still in progress. Check out developer dirtbag's recruitment video, and make sure to drop a vote for the cause of: Vector Prime!

Well poopsicles. It doesn't work with the GOG version, which I have, because it makes the game ask for a CD key at startup, which the GOG version doesn't have.

launch it through the default gog wrapper. It works, even with this exe.

Yes, just replace the original exe and have the gog wrapper modify that.
Nevertheless, I am still in a belief that using the GOG wrapper on the exe is similar to creating a new version; and different versions of an exe usually go out of sync fast in multiplayer. I will have to test this someday.

I'm not really sure what that means. I run from the original shortcut and it asks for a key now that I'm using the patched EXE.

There's an application called gogwrap in the TSH folder but it doesn't do anything when I start it.

start from the GOG shortcut on your desktop, or...

Create your own shortcut to the gogwrap.exe and add this to the end: GOGHAEGEMONIATSH

Your entire shortcut would look like this for example: "D:/Haegemonia Gold/Haegemonia The Solon Heritage/gogwrap.exe" GOGHAEGEMONIATSH

I feel both lucky and unlucky that I haven't got the GOG version. I own a regular retail version I bought back in the day. I couldn't test the exe with the GOG one, but it's a shame that instead of providing a CD key, they, strictly speaking, removed the copy protection.

But if it had worked with dirtbag's GOG, it should work with yours as well.

I felt that it is not right to remove protection from the executable, even though GOG does so. Nevertheless, it is pretty easy to find a key on the internet, I'm not going to say anything, but googleing the solon heritage cd-key, even the first hit appears to be that. Note that there have been issues with the cd-key in TSH, that's what the exe we just released addresses, but it does not remove, nor we want to remove protection the way GOG did.

The GOG version should just have included a serial. Unfortunately, it doesn't, which isn't good!

as of a side note, there's a MSI package around the internet, which installs a working version of Vector Prime, even on the GOG version.

If you enter something like "Haegemonia Vector Prime msi package", I think you should be able to find it!

Working as in it doesn't have the sound bug?

Hm, a google search for "Haegemonia Vector Prime msi package" didn't reveal anything relevant. :(

Thanks for the fix for Haegemonia TSH. Today however I discovered that the original Haegemonia also has this problem. Can you fix this too please as I cannot play the original campaign with TSH (no campaign menu). Also is there a place where someone can upload custom maps for TSH, I have made some and would like to share them.

Sorry for the late reply.
There is very little hope that Legions of Iron can be fixed, however there is one last thing I haven't tried. Please note that it wasn't me or dirtbag who has done the TSH fix either, and so we don't really have the expertise to do so.

Theoretically, you should be able to upload your maps here, to the "Addons" section. It should be an enabled feature - if not, send them over to jurgendreis@gmail.com and I will upload them for you.
Edit: Sorry, as it seems you have already done so :) I have just downloaded them and will have a look in the upcoming days.
