Post news Report RSS Test Maps for Our 2nd Test Night

First off, I'd like to mention that we changed our website a little to allow for faster load times, which will help out our 56k modem fans a little. We also added a new weekly column that shows a little about what it's like to be a BF:A modder. Check out the weekly column HERE This community

First off, I'd like to mention that we changed our website a little to allow for faster load times, which will help out our 56k modem fans a little. We also added a new weekly column that shows a little about what it's like to be a BF:A modder.

This community update is a big one, because this weekend we are going to have our 2nd Development Test Night in order to test some of the new elements that have been added. We're going to play on four different styles of test maps. One will feature a reservoir, which represents a strategic resource in the game. The second will feature some urban warfare (we are working on making buildings that are more destroyed), the third has a more rural setting with some vegetation and a cave complex, and the fourth will be just pure fun...a car wars battle arena and Thunderdome!

Most of the models are still WIP. We'll just be looking for errors in the models, skins, and physics. As we play, we may notice that some models will need higher resolution skins or have flaws in the geometries. These are some of the things we look for while we play, and we have a lot of fun doing it.

Don't forget to sign up for our newletter that will be going out with each community update. It will show the latest news and sometimes exclusive, behind-the-scenes info about events going on with the team and/or the mod itself. Everyone interested in receiving the BF:A newsletter should sign up on our website.

Here again is an example of the newsletter: Battlefield: Apocalypse Newsletter

We are currently using BFV as our model testing ground, and will be porting over to BF2 when it is released.
