Two large levels with their level layouts are now completed and await texturing and sector floor & ceiling height recreation.

Level 5: Maintenance Level is notable for sharing identical areas with another level, Level 9: Demo Level. In fact, the Demo Level is basically a much shorter, condensed version of Level 5 with some key differences.

Level 7 is the level where you locate the reactor core of the SHINCO base & plant the anti-matter bomb you got at the end of Level 6: Halls of Decay there.

This also means that this is the first of the only two levels to have a time limit in place. Luckily the time limit doesn't start until late in the level after placement of the bomb, so thankfully, you can practice memorizing the escape route located southeast of the level as much as needed until arming the device.

After that, you have around 2 minutes to get to the exit inside the sewer system before the level ends in an explosion visualized like an old CRT TV turning off & must restart.

Which brings us to the last level, & the last level to recreate for the TC; Level 8: Stinkpool Gauntlet, which is the escape sequence level where you must fight your way through hordes of Gundam robots among female warriors & male warriors, both standard and elite (X, FemaleX, or MaleX). In fact, this the first and only time you will encounter the elite male warriors in the game.

They're like the male warriors, but with more health & armor of course, & a purple color to them.

And their guns are red, presumably indicating that they're holding Arasako RP2's instead of the Dynacorp Python's the standard male warriors carry, even though the RP2 & Python look quite different from each other (and the Python is slightly stronger than the RP2, so it kind of makes more sense for the MaleX'es to have the Python instead)

They also look a bit more Terminator-esque with the shades over their eyes compared to the regular males, which look a lot like Joshua Fireseed from Turok 2, combined with the Ranger from Quake 1 with the torso armor, & Duke Nukem with the pants & boots.

For comparison:

Male:Male

MaleX:
MaleX

And the Arasako RP2 & Dynacorp Python respectively:

And their models shown in the end game images when the game is completed on certain difficulty settings:

END02
END12

That aside, Level 8 will be a bit harder to recreate due to all of the rounded corners and edges of the rooms and such, but it is not impossible, and if I can recreate 8 levels 1:1 with some science and workarounds, then I can pull off Level 8.

After that, all of the levels will be done, layout wise, and then the rest of the work is basically recreating gameplay mechanics & such.

As far as getting the 3D models go, Avocado is a life-saver, even though it's not a 1:1 rip of the models themselves, but it is the only thing I have to get the models out of the game aside from contacting the original developers of the game to see if they still have them leftover on a disk somewhere.

Which brings me to this, if you're developer from the Hybrid team and still have the assets from the game in uncompressed form all these years later, 3D models, textures, music, etc., feel free to send them my way.
