This is as the name suggest, only for Soulstorm. Now with both DVD and Steam versions!
What is Soulstorm Turbo Mode?
What is this, and what does it do?
It will be a big boost to your game. It makes the game load much faster, it gives the game ability to use the memory unlimited. Before it was locked at 2 GB, which would make the game crash to desktop. It also Improves the game graphics to make it more high resolution, and improves the quality to make it more smooth to look at. It does not make the game skins HD. For that you need mods with HD skins. But if you use this the HD skins will look ten times better in the game. This makes the game require more to work. So if you have a old toaster for pc. Your game might crash. Fear not. In the file I will include a folder with the toaster settings. So you can still have faster and better Soulstorm without the improved graphics.
Soulstorm Turbo was made for the DVD version, but works for steam too. I have had 32 people test this for me with no problems so far on both. So I know this works, But just in case take backups of any files before overwriting anything.
Does it work with UA LAA patch?
Yes, but only if you install this mod first, then install the LAA patch. Not the other way around.
Amazing work, this works very well with the UA Mod normally got insane FPS Problems and now its fixed <3

Very good work, load times are improved drastically, and the game appears more crisp. Also seemingly compatible with the unification mod. My only gripe is that with widescreen resolutions, the ingame font is a bit blurry. Nitpick to take into account for future versions, this works just fine. Thanks for your work!
Did you use the graphicsconfig that came with the mod? It should fix this problem as it is a hacked version of the original to make widescreen possible without getting blurry.
I was unable to join any online games after installing. does everyone have to use this to play the game?
Was it steam version?
Yes. everyone needs the same version to play online. Works fine online with other SS turbo users.
For clarification does unlimited memory mean up to 4GB or did you somehow include custom addressing to go over that ?
Also is it possible to get this mod running with UA?
I removed the in-game limit. So now it should be as much as the pc allow it to do. I play this with UA, and have no problem.
hi, I have a question:
If I install this mod, will it also solve crashes related to the engine limits of the game?
(I'm unsure of course, but from what I understand, big part of crashes during UA matches are caused by the fact that game engine can't handle so much units/polygons on one map. Must be some engine limitation, perhaps? So in other words, my question is whether you actually managed to get rid of those limitations)
This does help with that problem, but those crashes can also be caused by some mods conflicting, Pure UA should have no problem with this.
