Post news RSS Skyblivion Gatekeeper

As some of you know our lead creature artist streamed his work on the Gatekeeper creature live on YouTube and Twitch. Here is the result.

After over 30 hours over streaming the Gatekeeper was finally finished. It was a fun but time consuming experiment to stream the work being done on this bad-boy but the support from the fans made it all worth it.

For those who missed the stream and want to have a look, go right ahead:

Here is how the Gatekeeper looked after day 1:

Not too impressive huh?

All good things take time however as I think we are about to prove:

Streaming the process held development back quite a bit as we could only work on the Gatekeeper once a week but in teh end the result was a fantastic looking creature and a very interesting look at what goes on behind the scenes.
Special thanks of course to Hakan Kamar who was kind enough to stream the entire process, you can find more renders of the Gatekeeper on his ArtStation page here:

We might do something like this again in the future but time will tell.

For now let us know what you think and tell us what your favorite creature from Oblivion was. We might just be able to show some WIP images of said creature ;)

He really looks like something from the planes of Oblivion. Terrific and terrifying model!

cropping polygones underneath armor and clothes made it impossible for me to retexture something into silk...

Wow! Nice work guys! Such a grotesque creation it is very reminiscent of the original from Shivering Isles!
