Hello everybody,
recently we released our first VR game "Konrad the Kitten" on Steam, Oculus, Viveport and PlayStation VR. We worked 2 years on this unique approach of a virtual cat tamagotchi and solved a lot of issues that came with the special requirements of the "Plushy Mode". But let's first tell you what it is:
The game is about a little kitten that needs all your love and all your help. You need to care for Konrad's needs and his wishes to make him happy and well-behaved. What really makes this game unique is the "Plushy Mode" that can be activated in the main menu (the shed). Plushy Mode asks you to attach the VR Controller on the back of a plush toy to make this come alive as the virtual kitten. The game tracks the controller and so the plush toy. Although this might sound really strange, it really adds a lot of immersion to the game. For the first time it is now possible to not only see a virtual pet but actually touch, lift and cuddle it.
We wanted to introduce our little Konrad to Indy DB and we'd love to hear your thoughts on it.
