Greetings.
Strategy-X has been back up for a little bit, now, so it seems everything's been worked out.
Now, some bad news: I haven't heard from Tom_Andrews, the coder, for 3+ weeks...so....I'll start looking for another coder soon.
REALLY bad news: My summer holiday is winding down...about three weeks left...so...after school starts, I honestly don't know what will happen with the mod.
A little tie-in with my summer job hunt:
All summer, I've been looking for a part-time job...the first place I applied I was turned down for "someone more qualified". WTF! How qualified do you need to be to run a cash register? The whole process of applying and interviewing at this place took 8 weeks, 4 of which cut into my summer. 8 weeks to tell me "no". Great, so thats 1/3 of summer gone....
The next month (after 1/3 my summer is gone) I applied to 2 more places. It's been 5+ weeks now (and still no response), so we're cutting into the last of my summer. And also, during the initial days of the last 1/3 of summer, I re-applied to the first place, since they had signs stating they needed applicants. And I've now applied to a 4th place. It's been 1 week so far for both, but I'm still optimistic.
However, I figure since most college people are leaving soon, many positions will be open. This means that I can (might) earn some money (to go towards a new PC, and then towards my college education) over the school year...but then, this makes my schedule: school, work, eat, sleep, school, work, eat, sleep, etc.
As you can see, less time than ever. I find myself wishing more and more that there would be about 20 years of summer.
Ah, well...I'll make it through somehow...
