As some of you know I've been overhauling the rendering settings. It was looking pretty basic from the start, but now it looks how I always wanted it to have. And of course, the loading screens are now changed too, like this:
Lights
I've changed the lights here and there so we get a strong sunlight. The skybox is also affected by this. Not only I've just changed the sun, I've also added detail lighting like some on the exit signs, soda machines, advertisement boards and muzzle lighting. So when someone shoots in the dark, you can easily know where it came from if you looked in the correct direction.
Ambience
The ambience is a little bit changed now. Some models have recieved their long-beloved normal maps like the flats in Mall, just to make it look way more 3D than it was before.
Dutch Game Awards
Near the end of November I will be there at the Dutch Game Awards with Ravage, participating for the 'Best Students Game'. It will be held in Amersfoort, so if you live there on anything you can just drop by. If you want to meet me there then send me a PM :)
Would be nice if I could get some feedback down in the comments. It would help me a lot mastering Ravage for the Dutch Game Awards. Thanks in advance!

I like how it's surreal now, rather then looking like an attempt at realism that was blandly rendered. Are you going to stay with this art style?
Yes, definitely. :) It's way better than I had before.
OK then, you're a champ. I really really like the slightly surreal style, and the new rendering style is just so pleasant to watch. ;-)
Nice, looks like Mirrors Edge. The bright colours are refreshing to see in a sea of brown fps games.
*brown and grey...not just brown, both boring though.
nice!
