A few updates: The rockets fly straight and the weapon sounds are rescripted, and Rocket Jumping is back! The rocket launcher is completly done. A few updates:

  • The rockets fly straight and the weapon sounds are rescripted, and Rocket Jumping is back! The rocket launcher is completly done.
  • I myself, basically endulge myself in modelling and animating, but when i found out the Rocket Jumping worked i had to design a map just for it. Its called qs_jump and will be included with qs_q2dm8 and qs_q2dm1
  • Added a few standardized Counter-Strike options such as Footsteps On/Off, Force Respawn On/Off, etc.
  • Recorded some promo videos that are currently in post production and not quite ready to release yet, but will be here in the next day or two
  • Visit the main site Qs.moddb.com to find a link to our .plan Developers Journal Archive System coded by Yours Truly. (not quite done yet)
  • Map status: qs_q2dm8 = 100%, qs_q2dm1 = 75%, qs_jump = 80%

Actually funny you should say that: i already emailed ID Software about it.

And Maya is my 3D program, its $6,000. You want it? lol. Im more used to maya than any other professional package out there. Softimage, 3ds, lightwave, im usedto maya the msot. www.alias.com for more info on this awsome program.

they dont really care... now if you were to try doom, they might.

and its a quake1 clone, if you like q1, you dont give a **** how the mod looks, just how it plays

*ahem* more Q2,Q3, but yeah.

Plus Q2 and Q3 are now open source if you read up on John Carmacks .plan files, its because a new company recently licensed the Q3 engine thats whats postponing the whole making the engine open source thing.

Plus as long as your not making money off of the product, no one professional can nessesarily care. Its free advertising for the company!

..And its a free alternative for the (probably few) people who own Half-Life 2, but not Quake 1, but want it. That's $10 there that iD won't ever get.

In any case, it looks like you are doing a great job on this mod. Good luck!

Good luck with it! At the moment it doesn't look thaaat promising in my opinion, but I guess you love Quake and do the very best to make this mod a good one.

Thats not true. idSoftware already stoped the UnrealDoom mod so I wouldnt bet on this one. Same goes for 3DRealms and DukeSource (or whatever it was called).
