The core of the game is becoming stable enough to justify ProMod 3.0 as a non-beta release. I hope to release it soon, but I am beating the crap out of this build, hoping to shake out any bugs before I do so.
The overall complexity of this version is about 10 times that of Beta 2. The new weapons skill system (visible in the second promotional pic) is requiring me to juggle all three components of the code (client, ui and server) all at the same time while maintaining the validity of everyone's weapon skill settings. This new system will put an end to the uselessness of the saber versus a gunner.
I am continuing to squash the occasional bug, though I am running into fewer and fewer of those at this point. Version 3.0 should be stable as of today. Once it is, I'm going to dig deep and start working on the jetpack code.
Toonces, of the AOTC mod, has been kind enough to provide me with a jetpack model, ready for being imported into the game engine. I'll be sharing any code for its implementation with their team.
