The most enjoyable element of building games is watching them come together. BetterTech is a game idea I started working on about 2 years ago, primarily about economic woes and resource management, that is being built and vetted on UDK.
We have some basic scaleform UI in place, replaced the entry map and created our test world. This is where the majority of our screenshots will be coming from. It is primarily going to be a test bed, but as the project matures more quality will be added to the graphics.
Resources are what businesses revolve around. Your role in the world may be to refine raw resources, convert those refined resources into something more interesting or to deliver them to the supermarket after the fact. the cones are markers for where each of the resources will "grow."
A property is a plot of land that you may purchase, lease, rent or sell. It allows you to control the area you and your business may touch. The cones on the ground mark boundaries of plots of land (currently cubes 512 units tall).
This is the future site of the Bank, which will house most of the money related elements. A couple ATMs, stock quotes and Property listings to begin with.
