Patch 5.1.2 released! Enabling multiplayer and fixing a host of bugs and crashes.

Patch 5.1.2 released!

Multiplayer now works, and the campaign is now coming along very nicely with a host of big bugs and crashes fixed. I highly suggest you guys try out a multiplayer campaign if you can, we've been playing them in the dev team and they are great fun!

We'll now be moving on to fix any more bugs, and keep you informed about any new things coming to he mod in the near future!

Patch Changelog:

Launcher

-Added new method to launch mod
--Permanent install option (After installing you can launch game normally to start the mod, providing you don't use other mods in the meantime)
--Uninstall option (Works nomatter install/launch method)
-Fixed optional settings
-Added important MP information to launcher

Campaign

-Fixed a crash from certain buildings
-Reduced the power of rebel stacks, reduced the number of artillery unit per stack
-Added 100 new historic characters to the campaign which will appear in the recruitable general pools over time
-Reduced campaign AI lag
-Replaced napoleonic starting generals and admirals with WW1 equivilents
-Totally restructured artillery recruitment tree so they are available earlier
-Made certain tech times more realistic
-Partial fix for a bug which caused trade values would rise exponentially
-Reduced the price of many buildings and balanced the effects of many others
-Gave all technologies a unique purpose
-Added more ways of obtaining aircraft
-Reduced AI tendancy to build autonomy slightly (not perfect)
-Added descriptions to many missing effects
-Fixed a bug where level 3 railways had no UI card
-Changed certain buildings to balance the campaign
-Slightly adjusted some starting armies
-Changed Italian capital to Rome
-Attempted fix of Austria breaking German alliance if Germany
-Fixed unit descriptions missing endlines
-Fixed Serbian faction description

Multiplayer

-Multiplayer custom battles now work
-Multiplayer campaigns now work
(SEE INFORMATION IN LAUNCHER, the MP campaign requires an quick setup by both players (two files), but overwrites NTW game files which should be backed up first)
-Adjusted battle funds
-Added custom scripting for campaign

Did you fix the fact every building in campaign bar nelson column didn't have a title or discription?

That's quite clearly not a bug... but a problem with your installation.

Is it? That's odd. After the 5.0 original. I deleted all the Great war files and freshly installed the 5.1 Full version.

Well without being blunt, the mod does have text else everyone else would complain of this issue.

So it's either a installation issue or a launcher issue which in itself is usually due to an installation issue.

Have you tried the manual launch method? That works for everyone who usually has these kind of problems.

No, I just fire up the launcher and load in through that way.
How do I launch it manually?

Firstly try the new launcher within this patch first, as it might work for you now.

But if not then this is the thread on the manual installation and launch:
Twcenter.net(with-images!)
May seem daunting but its really quite easy.

maybe I'm jumping the gun but my mod still says it is 5.1.1 does it not change the mod version name but still fixes the bugs?

Like i said I make have jumped the gun, I also assumed my Moddb told me these comments were 12+hours ago so I figured it was uploaded.

Is the launcher just an extractor program or does it download updates?

Railways don't seem to increase travel speeds for units. The way upgraded roads do in other games. Is this an over sight or was this on purpose?
