I made a new intro for the mod, that (kind of) explains how you get into old aperture. Obviously I plan to add more signs of something bad happening, and the elevator would go down at the end.

Kinda reminds genious THE LONE FUTURE STARTER series, which I love really much for great story and cambers.

Sorry for the late reply, thanks for the kind words, I actually kind of based it off of that series because I thought it would fit this kind of mod.

So old Aperture is above new Aperture now? Haha. You might want to spend some time practicing and refining your level design/environment art before you try and take on a mod. You might also want to come up with a bit of a more gripping story before taking on a mod :P I see a lot of community members jump into making a mod without any real solid idea for a story, largely making a mod simply for the novelty of making a mod. Making Workshop maps is just as fun, and is much less of a time commitment! Gives you more creative freedom if you're still figuring things out and getting a handle on level design :)

Well I really didn't spend much time on this, but I agree this mod needs a lot more work, just that it's only me working on this so it's not very good at the moment.
