It took a while, but it's finally here. SCP - Deception's ModDB page! And I feel as if I should explain some things, mainly regarding the plot.
So, why make this mod? To put it simply, I wanted to create something that starts with a good note. SCP - Terror Hunt was one of my best works, but even that had a rough start. With bad design choices and strange and immature decisions, those first few versions are definitely sour. Deception is going to release with nothing of the sort. It also just feels nice to start over on a clean canvas. With a better understanding when it comes to coding, a lot of broken elements when it came to Terror Hunt are heavily improved upon with Deception.
I really wanted to expand on the lore presented in Terror Hunt a bit more, and I don't think there was anything I could have added to Terror Hunt to do so. Deception gave me a great opportunity to delve into the story a lot more than before, along with creating new aspects for the players to theorize about themselves. I wanted to create an eerie and immersive experience, and I'm hoping I was able to succeed.
I'm hoping I can get this thing released soon (there are still some kinks here and there I have to work out(mainly SCP-049 being an annoying and broken mess)), but until then, please be patient, as we never know what may come up in the future. Bye for now, and I'll see you again soon!
