First up, there is a version of this mod already available, BETA 2 can be downloaded from various places, currently we're not going to upload BETA 2 here because we do feel that it is just too outdated now to represent what we want to do with this mod. Feel free to look around and try out BETA 2 to get an idea of what this mod is all about but do keep in mind we have changed the way we do things for BETA 3, we're much closer to native scripting, building, audio, etc, and have fixed many of the main issues that were highlighted by people who played the BETA 2 release.
Second, the screenshots, they are from BETA 2, they are the promo shots we did nearly a year ago, but the video uploaded is from one of the latest builds of the game, any new screenshots and videos from this point on will of course be from current builds which we aim to release as BETA 3.
Third and final for now, we will be updating this page on a weekly or so basis, rounding up any progress made in the week or just to let you guys know what's happening. Currently we do not have a release date set for BETA 3 but we do have a set target plan in terms of missions and content, etc, that we want to include and the idea is, once we fulfill all of those targets, we'll start testing a public BETA 3 build before releasing it and letting everyone get their hands on it.
If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer, we've been working on this mod for way over a year now, but we've only just got around to making a ModDB page, so we can understand if some of you are curious about certain things.
I was wondering if the Beta 3 will have new effects and sounds Realistic the original guys?
