Meet the Team!

The last few months have been an interesting trip for Mod Fidelity. We’ve gotten new team members, lost them, and have made a ton of new friends in the modding world! I’d like to take a few moments to introduce some of our team members:

Matthew Dryden (me!) is the team lead and community manager for Mod Fidelity. He handles all the big decisions, team meetings, and the publicity side of all Mod Fidelity projects. He loves the Resistance and thinks Aperture Science should change out of their PJs into something more combat ready. His favorite modules are Long Jump and Cloak. Matthew wants you to know that you are freaking awesome!

Andrew “Winston” Watkins is the lead programmer for Modular Combat and is a kind of savant. He actually a robot from the future made out of soft, cuddly puppies. He doesn’t type out any code – he just screams at his computer and it the work for him. His favorite faction is the Resistance and his favorite module is Teleport.

Mason “mOoEyThEcOw” Bially is our newest programmer, but he has already made quite a splash with the community. He prides himself on having four stomachs, which is more than enough to swallow his fear, and a love bladder that always asks to go to the bathroom. His favorite faction is Combine and his favorite module is Lasers.

Stephen “SteveUK” Swires is one of our programmers. He is working with many different mods, and has robot eyes made out of vegemite and tea. His favorite faction is the Resistance and his favorite module is Critical Hits. Stephen has build the base for our shared experience system.

Josh “1337FeRReT” Van den Heever is one of our programmers. He feels like a warm summer day, and often wonders what the real meaning of life is. Josh wants you to know that you’re beautiful and special in a…you kind of way. And he’s sorry that he once called you “mamn” for some strange reason. (That’s messed up.) Josh is responsible for how scary the Antlion Guard is. His favorite faction is Aperture Science and his favorite module is the Turrets.

Ryan “__Viking” McDonald is our modeler and animator extraordinaire. Fresh from working with Ross Scott on Civil Protection, Ryan prides himself on being the only member of Mod Fidelity to have an accurate bio. Ryan has contributed the “Vital Testing Apparatus” camera model to v1.76 and is working on some new weapons for v1.77!

James “Blackmantis” Miller is a skinner and modeler from Australia. He is one of the few people who have successfully been able to kill a kangaroo just by winking at it. James has contributes many, many different skins for the current Half-Life 2 weaponry, including the Pistol and SMG1 reskins – and the entire Aperture Science faction!

Aleixo “aLx” Teixeira was the first-place contest winner of our Episode Two competition! He prides himself on style his hair purely with awesome-sauce and often sits around wearing nothing but his laptop. That’s right, ladies, he’s 100% pure graphics artist. Aleixo has completely redesigned our module icons and supplied us with some awesome desktop backgrounds. His favorite faction is the Resistance and his favorite module is Teleport.

Joe "Chewy" Castagnino is our QA Lead. He loves long walks in the park with nothing but an RPG and rebels to shoot at. Joe was brought up with the belief that everyone has a special place…for his foot. Joe can’t decide what his favorite faction is, but his favorite module is the Spree War.

There are many, many other people who have contributed to Modular Combat, so here are the honorary mentions: Hazmat, Mr. Grey, Daniel “Ackart” Glenn, Iron Kurtain, AwT Acid, Podcast 17, and Eric Minaker. Thank you all so much for helping out!
