So, what's new in development? Well, our minds have been firmly entrenched in getting the shopping system working, and it's going REALLY great! Here's an early video to show you what it's looking like:
That'll be going out to the test team in the next update, as well as the blacksmith, which I'll do a seperate video for, so they'll have some fun with that, I think, and find all the bugs I've left in there :-\
We've also put in Taverns, where you can play Goblin Dice (a very risky gambling dice game in Ahkranox). It's early days, but here's what it's looking like so far in-game:
And, if you enjoyed part 1 of Whenkheliio's adventures being made by Hyfrydle, you'll be pleased to know that he put up a second and third episode!
A big thanks to anyone who has helped vote for the game in the Indie Game of the Year awards. This is just a friendly reminder to click the big vote button up there if you haven't already, and to share the link around everywhere you can! Not many people seem to want to share links with people, but wherever you feel comfortable doing it is enough for us! We just want the word to get out! If you've been following the game's progress for a while, you'll remember that we made it into the top 100 last year, and the game has come a LONG way since then! We've got some pretty amazing competition this year, though! I've taken a bit of time to go through some of the other indie titles in the running and WOW. So much talent out there!
So now, the biggest news! Lots of you have been avid followers of the project for quite a while now, which has been AWESOME, and we've posted some of the more fun comments people have made about the game up the top of our IndieDB profile, but you must all be getting pretty excited about how quickly the project is being wrapped up! It's true that we're very very close to being finished finally, however, it's not as soon as we'd hoped. A HUGE pile of personal life crises have affected the team this year and it's delayed many different aspects of the project. However, we've all rallied really well (and gotten a lot of support from you fans, too, I might add) and we think we should have it all ready for release by around the end of January/early February. To help lock that in, we've officially opened up pre-orders on the game so that you can show your support for the project (in case you missed the KickStarter) and by pre-ordering you'll get some pretty cool stuff and also get the game at a discounted price to what it will be when it goes retail (20% off!)
Anyway, if you want to lock in your copy early for a discount, then you can do so at our main site, by clicking the banner below which will take you to our sexy new website!
We're going to be putting Malevolence on Desura (and hopefully Steam... You can help with that by visiting our Steam Greenlight and voting for us!) and if they let us give out keys for both of those, your pre-order will come with one of each in addition to the game itself.
Anyway, that's all for now! Busy busy busy! Must fly! I'll be back with more awesome updates for you soon! Stay awesome!
