Linux build ready
Thanks to Bigbird we do now have a linux build of Sands of War 2 beta 1.1. This should help to improve the amount of servers.
Head over to the download section at our site to get it. You do only need this if you want to run a dedicated server on a computer with linux.
Going forward, but where is that?
We got a lot of different directions we can take SoW2 in and it is certain that it will become different from the current version. In order to find the right path for the mod we would like to hear what your favorite part of the game is so tell us what it is here.

Our new modeller TSS got a lot of interesting unique SoW2 models in the works. You can find his well written journal here.

First of all i'd like to explain to you guys this.
This mod has the worst mod leader ever. I became a beta tester for it a while ago, with this came ignorant feedback from the leader "Zacker". Everything i would say to him i'd get this "we are not doing that, stop whining!". As a beta tester (sorry, Alpha Tester) i was performing my job, i was reporting back to them regularly. Without further due, everything i would say i would get shot down. Another thing i couldn't get my head around was the way the presented this to the beta testers, they overexagurated how done this mod is. It's nowhere close to being complete, i would say its still in the Alpha stages. Thus meaning Alot of bugs, Alot of content not finished, Nothing original ....ECT
This is what put me overboard about this, They would tell us to go Beta test without supplying us with a server and enough beta testers to perform the needed tasks. So basicly they told us to go test on our own. This is not beta testing, this is Fubar. Mods and Games shouldnt be tested if there is not a server supplied by the Leaders. Leadership is the key to developing a mod, Being Assinine about it is gunna intimidate people. I have worked as a Beta tester for a number of mods for BF1942 and Hl1. Even their HL1 version was better than this BS they are dumping on us. You can take this as whining, you can take this as ranting and flaming, All people want is originality highly detailed content, with amazing gameplay. They have delivered a DoD and CS clone. Without a reason nothing useful has been accomplished with this mod, i do not regret posting this. It is up to you Zacker to perform whats needed to be done for this mod and make it far beyond good.
To sum everything up i think what im trying to say is stop giving us half-a%^ stuff to play. 50% doesnt pass in 90% of other peoples books. Commitment and good leadership is the key to a good mod Zacker.

Matt got thrown off the team because he never did any work and has been insulting the mod and me ever since. I could begin to point out all the flaws in his post, but I prefer not to take part in mud casting and personal insulting.
HAHA don't worry matt, people doesn't bother wasting their time on playing garbage mods.

dystopia, empires and gmod are about the best you can find out right now. they are alright but all three have their flaws.
