For those who have missed this: "The Sharpest Point" mod is former "Real-Feel" wearing a new name! TSP is a stand alone modification for BF1942, not a mini-mod!
It has now been quite a while since last news - mostly due to this new site of ours, hope you'll all like it better than the recent one!? The TSP development team has been stable and making progress in the last few months - we're now aiming for a close release!
As there've been no news updates in a long time, we now have quite some to tell about and show for you! First of all we can tell you our latest additions are spawning explosions, spawnable LCVPs and the sounds are about to be done for most units! What's left to do now is coding the damage system and make minor fixes!
Also, the german "History is War" (HiW) community is our new beta-testing unit, with over 60 players in their roster! This will help a lot in the development of our mod!
First of all we'd like to state the conditions for the release coming up around the corner. This is what you can expect:
- More like a pre-release showoff - we have LOTS of plans beyond this
- Support liminted to infantry, PAK40, LCVP, Priest and Wespe only
- Theatre limited to western Europe 1944, summer/fall
- Teams limited to US, British, Canadians and Germans
TSP has got some contact with 3D modelers willing to donate stuff to us! Also we've been able to get permission using a 82nd airborne skinset! This is what we've got this far:

An interesting deal we've got into was with the film-shooting team "Like Brothers" - making an Arnhem campaign film based on ingame play! The deal is: LB team gets full access and rights using our mod or any part of it for making their fim. In return TSP have the right to get 10 minutes of completed videos based upon ingame play of our mod!
Another fresh made deal is with the Merciless Creations team! They've got permission to use custom made iron sights from us, and we are able to chose some stuff from their mod over time when we need it - equvivalent to the value of our iron sight works.
Official TSP community - TSPAF
Yet another new feature we've added is the "TSP Armed Forces", short TSPAF. Simply, this is the official TSP mod playing community. This was added in order to let the true fans have more insight and control in the development of the mod.
TSPAF has some certain demands on its members. Frankly spoken its members must be serious and mature - in for true realism! TSPAF members will be granted access to certain restricted forums and the internal beta download section - acting as a TSP official beta-testing team. Anyone is free to apply membership in TSP - read more below the main menu link!
Lots have happened in the mapping area and here are the maps in progress! Our mappers "FlameQuake" and "Howland" has been working very hard on these new projects, which will all be included in the first TSP release:

Dedicated server issues
Another thing we would like to get to end with is our problem getting a 100% dedicated TSP server up. If anyone has an interest in this modification and would like to dedicate a server for this purpose we would be most greatful! The server is thought to primary act for TSP Armed Forces - though for now mostly running public games. You have any suggestion or would like to make a deal about this matter? Contact us!
Last things to say is we need more staff in our development team! We need all kind of resources, though we have high demands on skill-level and dedication! You must be able to work independent in your area! This is the list of available positions:
