Welcome to Space Madness Redux. This custom campaign was originally created by author and kaiju historian John Goodrich, who has given me permission to use his custom campaign and rework it for new StarCraft fans.

You can find the download for the original custom campaign on John's website, linked here.

The essence of the custom campaign is to use the original campaign's core gameplay and narrative elements while drawing further on cosmic horror to make something that is hopefully unique and leads to greater player immersion. Most of the existing maps will be remade, while new voice work is also planned to breathe life into this project.

All existing voice work and sound assets are used with permission from John Goodrich. You can find the full credits in the included readme when you download the original custom campaign. I'll also share them in a separate article (or in the mod page header) soon enough.

Further updates will be slow as I'm busy juggling various IRL commitments, but I hope to see this project through and make it an enjoyable experience for fans of the franchise.

The story starts innocuously enough: you're a commander in the newly formed Dominion tasked with quelling a riot in a small town. What starts out as a simple civil defense mission will eventually lead to a conflict of epic proportions against an ancient evil too powerful for mortal minds to comprehend.

Please note that this custom campaign will not use any modding assets, so it should play safe with SC Remastered. However, I would recommend playing this on Classic StarCraft (v1.16.1) to be safe. Also, while I initially wanted it to be played via Great War (as originally intended), I decided to use some of the BW tilesets for better immersion in some missions. As such, you'll need to Play Custom from the Expansion, though, for gameplay purposes, you are only allowed to use Great War tech (the AI is also limited in this regard).

Until our next update!
