Mod HQ has just interviewed the team leader of the rather tasty looking Half-Life 2 modification, Incoming Source. The interview contains many juicy details that fans of Science-Fiction games will want to know about. It makes for a satisfying read, especially if it's the first time you see this promising project. Here is a short quote.

Q: Iron sights are not commonly seen in modifications, but what can you tell us about the way you will implement them? How do you hope this feature can enhance the gameplay experience and how different will it be from other games that have used it in the past?

A: This feature will add to the immersion factor of our game. Other games such as the amazing Call of Duty as well as Brothers in Arms and the new Day of Defeat: Source have implemented these (wow, just noticed I listed all World War 2 games). There are different methods to implementing the iron sight feature. We will be using the actual model for the sights. That just goes to show how much detail we have crammed into each weapon model. To toggle the iron sight you press the assigned key to the secondary fire once. This will in turn bring up the sights to the gun. You can then fire as you normally would. To leave the sights, you simply hit the secondary fire key again. Every weapon in the game features iron sights.

I can't believe they said IS are uncommon. Every man and his dog is rushing to put them ingame (BF2, DOD).

Alone in the dark, I think you mis-read what I wrote.
I said every game I listed was a World War 2 game. I never said I listed every single world war 2 game.
