Two days ago I decided it was time I made my submission to the Indie Game Challenge. This newish indie games competition is sponsored by GameStop. I compiled my demo and got ready to email it to them when I realized that they only accepted submissions in snail mail. SNAIL MAIL?!? WHAT THE–
Yeah, so, apparently this new game competition hasn’t found its way into the 21st century like every other game competition has, and they won’t accept email submissions with a simple link to the game. I have to burn two copies of my game onto a CD and mail it to them, and it all has to be in by midnight on the day of the deadline. But the kicker is, it must be accompanied by a 60 second “elevator pitch” video submission where you highlight what the qualities of your game are. I don’t have something like that. So, I worked through the night to build my submission, burn the required CD’s, and record a video pitch, and mail overnight it to Texas in the morning.
I figured, if I’m going to have to do this crap I may as well have some fun with it, so here’s me with only two hours of sleep humbly extolling the virtues of my video game. (PS - I apologize to the moddb gods for not hosting it on moddb!)
I’ll probably get disqualified for submitting a 2 minute video when the rules say 60 seconds, but I suppose I’ll have to live with that.
