I really hope if he reads this that he'll damn respond to me because I'm not only starting to worry, but also fearing that we lost our only modeler that is capable of doing these things. I hope darkawakening can learn the skill of modeling as good as Karcov but either way, I am in need of aid.
We need another modeler. I can't expect dark to do all the modeling and if Karcov returns (...) he'll still be, I think working on the dreadnought. I don't mind how much time you have with max, or any modeling program that can use alo, as long as you are good with it, in short: Tallent. If you think you can help us achieve quality, you can join us by PMing me.
Well I hope someone here has the skill and motivation to help us with out modding project.
Next week will be my vacation so I might, just might upload a super ship/graphic/gameplay overhaul.

Just so all know I just spent the last 4 hours doing a ground model for the republic trooper from scratch. Have the body and all modeled just haven't gotten the arms or the head done. Arms including fingers will take maybe 10 min - 20 min. Head will take longer. But starting Friday after I get off work I'm taking about a weeks break from coding/modeling to get a renewed ability to sit at the computer for long periods of time. Though I will work on the model here and there over the next week. Hopefully in the next 2-3 weeks will have it fully animated. So you all can hopefully expect to see some renders of it in about 2 weeks.
Don't forget not to have to many polys, nothing provides you with better lag than a lot of high poly models.
yea please be careful with the polys lol ive played mods that are wonderful then i hyperspace in a certain unit and it lags horribly lol. but good luck Dark. and i hope Karcov isnt dead or anything.

I will HELP! I have many plans for Old Republic Droids and stuff in mind. I don't animate, texture, and skin. Just model.
if you geroenimo is fine with it then any ground modeling will be helpful. I can animate and skin if need be. I'm already familiar with animating and skinning from using macromedia and have used it in 3d max.
Just need to know what program you are using to know what i'd need to import any models you do.
At first sorry but you can't replicate that whole thing. Made perfectly but if you really want I'll upload some pics.
Land models are all done in low poly. I'll do a bit of manual smoothing to them myself around the more jagged areas. But other than that except for heroes the regular units will be pretty much exclusively low poly. The heroes i might push them into a near high poly look since you can only have 1 hero per hero on the map at once anyways. So they being a higher poly won't cause any lag. (This is ground only of course. I'm not modeling any space unless needed be)

Btw, I have a problem with my enemies in galactic conquest mode. They don't build space stations and because of that they got no fleet. I'd aprreciate every advice you may give me.

GC isn't done yet, in the next version GC should be included, only space skirmish is available in the last version.
We're working hard. Things get done, I'm going to compile a update updating everything that is playable. Ships, lasers, everything.
