There are some issues that's stopping me from advancing any further and making more progress. Unfortunately, I have to say the project is on hold and finished. Sorry guys.
I enjoyed mapping. It's been almost a decade since I started! I enjoyed it so much. Now I move on to better things and potentially better ways of mapping. It's been a fun ride.
First of all, it's tough getting models with animations. My modeler wasn't able to get me a working model with animation on time, so I struggle to get any sort of gameplay going. I did worked out some good scripts in terms of gameplay features, such as FPS, TPS cam, RTS cam, teammate soldier cam and map. I can buy models but unfortunately, the good ones cost a lot of money so I am unable to afford them.
Another thing is, I am in my final year of study and I also work, so that cuts into less time to make the game. I did plan to buy models but I can't just spend the money. Models are expensive.
I do want to go back to COD4 for the simplicity and just finishing up the project but I just have no time for it.
Now, my only option is to finish school and then work on the game after work. However, I want to focus on the big picture. I do plan to open a studio (despite the difficulty in any start-up companies). I am a writer/businessman, so I plan to finish writing my novels and turn them into games and movies. The games for my novel would be the main games (where I used some of the names in my COD4 maps). The COD4 Heroes 7 mod will eventually be the mod for the main game. It is only then when I have a studio, I'll be able to have the resources to make games.
I may release episode 6 and the epilogue and episode 7/8 as is. Not final but alpha versions, just to get them out of the way.
I admit this is the hardest thing to do, since I have so many ideas still not put into the maps yet. I planned them but unfortunately, not enough time to work on them. I'll put them in my novels or the next time I resume making the mod and games.
So thanks for playing the series. For now, the project/mod is done. Thanks for playing. I appreciate the fan support!
You can replay them whenever you want!
