Hello everyone, we are bringing some news to you exclusively here in IndieDB. We've updated all possible scenarios around HUD, new menus, store, lifebar, and even inventory.
The year 2017 started strong and full of fresh ideas.
The initial menu became more professional and with game recent face, the brand has also been changed to adapt to the new wave of styles we look for in our project. Effects have been added to the menu map, it is in real time. Pressing Spacebar, the bonfire releases large sparks.
The new store was much more objective and clean, only the items were kept necessary, and now when you move the mouse over the item a description is pointed to each item. Another novelty is the indication of recommended items to be purchased, they will be needed in the next phase.
Now the inventory is definitely usable, the previous mode, which needed to press "I" to see it is very outdated. We put all the "Usable" items on the screen. If the item is available, simply press the corresponding button to use it. When the item is unavailable, it becomes black and white, and when it becomes available, it becomes colored.
When it was all over, we realized something was missing from Lifebar, we needed to update it with the rest of the game, and so we did. In an easy way the green bar was added to HP, and the famous blue color to MP, the now lives are represented by a heart.
As our goal is to give 16 and 32 bits, we are also updating all fonts used to represent this style well.
