To this day, a reworked version of the engine of this outstanding production is used by modders and enthusiasts of this game to introduce various modifications. This is also where our project, Half The Way: Russian Civil War, comes in. This mod, as the name suggests, will tell about a brutal and very important historical event, which was the civil war in Russia which took place at the beginning of the 20th century.

Your name is Pavel Alexandrovich Streletsky. You were born on May 22, 1892 in Tsaritsyn, in a family with military traditions. Your father died in the Russian-Japanese war in the Battle of Mukden, and your mother was killed by the Bolsheviks. You are a veteran of the Great War, being a lieutenant of the Russian army, you are participating in the Civil War in Russia under the command of Lavr Kornilov. Your goal from the very beginning was to destroy as many Bolshevik soldiers as possible and go to places at the front where an ordinary soldier would not last a second, and your ultimate goal was to protect the General along with the white army retreating to the east...

Due to the fact that as a project we are constantly developing, we have recently established cooperation with an experienced Spriter, Tabijaky, responsible for various mods such as the famous Kick Nookie.

Thanks to him and ABDO, our second spriter responsible for the player sprites, melee weaponry and some of the decorations, weapon models and some of the sprites are at a much higher level than before. Despite the fact that our mod is for the GZDoom engine, we are trying to make the presented realities as authentic as possible by weapons, mechanics, maps and terrain structures made by Kan3, OST tracks and the appearance of historical characters who players will be able to face.
