What is Secluded?

Secluded is a thriller/light-horror game set in the modern world, the game focuses heavily on character interaction, exploration and clue finding.

What's special about it?

My vision is to create a game where the player is always given incentive to explore the game world, find clues and piece the story together. It's important to remember that no vital plot information is optional, but exploration is rewarded with extra background information and side info about the characters to enhance the experience and plot. Some items and information will affect dialogues to deepen the experience.

That said, the player can miss areas by mistake and by doing that miss out on information that can either help you understand the plot further or gain additional information or items that unlock parts of future dialogue, so remember to explore! When you are presented with a set of doors, please consider which door to enter, you may never know what happens.

Duration? Playtime?

I'm not a fan of making a game as long as possible but I try to pace the story to fit the plot as smoothly as possible, I can say that the game is split into 5 parts. Relax, not episodes, but chapters in the game. The prologue, chapter 1 through 3 and an epilogue. I aim to squeeze lots of optional content into the game so it really depends on how much you are willing to explore.

When's the release date?

Since I work alone on this game, I can't really tell when the game is being released, but I can assure you that I am wokring hard on this everyday. Don't worry. When I'm getting closer to release, I will look into release dates but as for now.. Perhaps 2015, don't take my word for it though,

Can I help?

I'm working alone on this because I don't have any money to pay helpers and I'd like to keep it that way, I like being able to tweak each part of the game to fit perfectly with each other and I feel that I can't fully express myself in a team, especially for this project, it's very close to me. I hope you understand. Thank you.

BUT I do accept playtesters when the need arises, I have already gone through a play-test phase in december 2013 and at the moment I don't need testers. I will announce the next play-test phase when I'm done with the current part of the game.

No, I don't accept donations, I don't have anything to spend the money on. I get food on the table as it is, thank you anyways.
