I n this week’s news post I thought I’d share some details of a new version of FUEL: REFUELED in development. While this posting is short, I hope to be releasing Patch #2 sometime this week which is packed full of bug fixes, improvements and goodies, so look out for that.
In all my releases of FUEL: REFUELED I’ve always done my best to accommodate for all users, I’ve developed dozens of optional mini-mods that customize the standard FUEL: REFUELED to users requests and even added support for the FUEL Demo. However now I will be adding an extra version of the mod to the line-up. This, ‘LITE’ version of the mod will be nothing more than one massive unofficial patch to FUEL, without all the bells & whistles that the standard FUEL: REFUELED has to offer. It won’t change any gameplay, user interface, localization or anything like that, but instead will give those users who still play the game in its raw un-modded form access to a bundle of bug fixes and stability improvements.
This version will also grant the user limited access to some available FUEL: REFUELED scripts, so they can plug-in basic available commands via the mod manager. A few examples on what would work is the ability to disable in-game traffic, unlock all vehicles, force time of day time or length, and prevent shaders compiling on game launch (considerably reducing load times). There will also be a way to plug in basic optional mods such as change vehicle colors and tweak elements of UI. Because this version comprises of nothing more than bug fixes, you will be able to play all aspects of online and offline play without any issues (FUEL: REFUELED standard has a different online race set etc.), compatibility or otherwise.
Ideally the user should use standard FUEL: REFUELED for the best game experience (see the two comparison screenshots above for just one example of how the game has been improved) but if you don’t want to use my mod or can't for whatever reason, then there is at least now an alternate option to residing in bug city.
Additionally there will also be a FUEL: REFUELED LITE version available for the demo too! Plus I will be working towards localized installation packages for all primary localization's of FUEL (English, German, French, Spanish and Italian). If development is completed in time then this version will be contained within an upcoming patch in the next fortnight, possibly Patch #3 if I make good progress. At the very latest it will be included with V15.5 which I hope to be releasing in early-to-mid May.
In the meantime stay tuned for Patch #2 which I will be releasing later this week for V15.4, bringing the mod up to version 1.5.4.2.

Awesome
Why arent you getting paid for this?
Or are you?
Hehe I wish... :D
I don't own FUEL, but I might get it just because of this mod. I've been keeping my eye on it for a while now, and you have serious dedication I've rarely seen before. Congrats on the mod.
I agree. Its very impressive.
Thanks!
It really seems like you have done what the developers of the game failed to do. Wow.. well done.
