Some of the questions that we think should be answered before they start being asked.

Posted by on

Q: Is this a remake of Call of Duty: Black Ops?

A: No it is not. It is a remake of the old Black Ops mod for Half-Life. We recommend playing that before you play this mod, as it will fill you in on what we are trying to accomplish.

Q: How does the "Hand-to-Hand" weapon work?

A: It depends. There is an "unarmed" weapon that the player will have, but to perform a counter or melee attack, you will need to press the mouse 3 button. With this you can pistol whip and rifle hit your way through enemies. If you are using the "unarmed" weapon and you hit the mouse 3 button, you will counter your enemy's current melee attack and perform a killing strike with your knife.

Q: What are these new missions?

A: Classified. All we can tell you is that they will further the new story and that they will each provide at least an hour to an hour-and-a-half each.

Q: Who are the NNRD?

A: They will be filling in the role of the HECU in Black Ops. Their name stands for Nonstandard National Recon and Defense. They have been dispatched to "clean up" the city and all remnants of Black Mesa that could connect it to the US government. This includes the Black Operations.

Q: Will there be Multiplayer?

A: Yes there will be, but it will not be worked on until after the SP campaign is finished.

If you have any more questions:

A: Send me a private message through ModDB.

Ah, Black Ops, a classic. Will the mod change some of the weird/unfair elements like some of the puzzles?

Yes, some of the puzzles will be changed, and we will add in some new features. As for the unfair parts, they'll be removed or changed to make the experience much, much more entertaining.
