And here's our fourth media release, showcasing a bunch of GEC models, as well as an NMO model, all done by two of our talented modelers, ImPackte and Offspringy.
And that concludes this week's media release. Of course, be sure to visit our Forums and our IRC channel (#DEDmod on GameSurge). We hope to answer any questions or comments you have!
Once again, our most sincere condolences go out to all those in the UK affected by the recent attacks. The UK is a strong country, as was demonstrated, and will quickly recover. We wish all of the UK the best of luck in these trying times.
Nice going guys, that nade thingy looks awesome :D
Thanks! Wait until we start the animation process! :P
wow that 2nd to the top model is awesome... but what the hell is it? lol, nice work guys, really love your creativity
The middle model? That's a GEC Neon Burst Grenade. The left image of it is the grenade before being activated, the right image is it when activated.
Nice stuff, but the guns are VERY under-detailed for the source engine.
we'll see how it goes once we get them in game, we may well aim simply to get the whole thing working before worrying about getting the graphics perfect which given the amount of media we're going to have could take a very long time.
I think stallion means the GEC sniper rifle or Phased Projectile Rifle. the PPR is a rail gun type weapon, but on a reduced scale and thus with reduced power. it relies on accelerating a projectile to high speeds. it is a covert weapon, firing sounds are minimal with the exception of small sonic booms caused by the projectile breaking the sound barrier.
you can find out more about all three factions and their weaponry here:

oh and thanks for the kind words stallion, another of my messed up concepts :)
dr beat me to it, but he is right, with the amount of models we need, it would be best just to get them all finished first and get them ingame, then add the detail.
And i also think they will look a lot more detailed and complete once the skins are on and working
