After much struggle we have finally made an exectutive decision to switch our engine of choice...for now!
Yes, it does sadden us because we were really hoping to do something cool with the Battlefield engine, but given certain time contraints and the types of things we want to do, for the time being, we will be using Operation: Flashpoint as our engine of choice.
What does this mean? It means that those who have the game will be able to play a wicked azz collection of multiplayer games, complete with lego characters, vehicles, weapons, and buildings. We were hoping to do the same with Battlefield, but the lack of an SDK was causing things to take much too long. Flashpoint, however, is more versatile and our team has had more experience with the engine and feels confident that we can create a game closer to what we had imagined!
Hope there's some of you out there who've got the game cuz its' really a great game in many ways...we'll post some screens and vid caps as soon as they come!

Sorry guys.
Worst damm decision EVER!!!!
Battlefield is the hot topic man, the Op Flash Point community has dried up, trust me i was a part of it, theyve all moved to battlefield.
PLEASSSSSSSSSE Reconsider.
I swear if you DO change your engine you are NOT going to make the impact you would if you did it for battlefield.
Thanks for the advice man...
we recognized the same points you've just pointed out when deciding an engine and therefore chose Battlefield. Unfortunately we have some deadlines coming up (I'm doing this as part of a game design course in my last year at university, and joesiv is presenting it at an exhibition), so we want to be able to illustrate as best we can the gameplay concepts behind the game, and feel that the quickest way to do that right now will be with the OFP engine.
I predict that in a month or two, we will resume production in Battlefield. We are producing all our models in 3D Studio Max, so it shouldn't be a major issue to port.

Thats good to hear then.
