Third Dev post for the new version of CKII:WW in development!

Posted by on

Hello everyone,

Here we are at dev post 3! Lot's to mention, and much progress made since our last post.

With the wizard culture now being complete we've begun recreating some rather integral characters, four of which you may have heard of... hint hint!

With character development now in sight we've approached some exclusive bloodlines (featured). The perks of these bloodlines are still subject to change as we develop the mod.

For example; as we remake the magic levelling system you'll see these levels applied to bloodlines, granting a stronger affinity to magic. If you're lucky enough to become a descendant of one of these four
major bloodlines the world will undoubtedly remember your name!

Now another feature that has been touched upon is our existing potion making from the first release. Potions will again be brewable and we've begun switching all decision window ingredients over to artifacts, making it easier to trade ingredients with other players.

Will you use your potion making for good or will you lurk in the shadows plotting and poisoning your enemies. A new feature now added is the ability to use a 'Bezoar' to save yourself from the brink of death, but warning, obtaining will be no easy task and may even result in your downfall!

Societies is another new feature that has recently been worked on, implementing the ability to become a death eater. Will you follow your dark lord and bring about a new age of oppression, or will you challenge him for the title! (New clothing featured)

This is a rather big feature for the mod and we are very excited to see it in action :)

Books and brooms, brooms and books. Yep that's right more artifacts!!! Why abide by the muggle ways of travel? Tear through the battlefield on your new broom and bring your enemies to heel.

For those who seek magic in knowledge you'll now be able to seek out new books containing spells. You see not everyone is fortunate enough to go to Hogwarts... :/

On the subject of books though, you'll now be able to pass on your knowledge of magic to others by composing your own works. More than likely you will gain the 'Writer' lifestyle from this.

Finally we would like to share our progress on map development. Things are shaping up very nicely, especially in the south-west of England where many wizarding families reside (canon). A couple of patreon characters have been placed, but we may contact a couple of you to discuss in detail the residence you would prefer.

Many wizarding families will reside in France, this is due to a handful of those families being associated with William the Conquerors conquest of England and the migration that they followed in. So this means post 1066 many family locations will change.

I have no pics worth showing of the map at this time as not all counties have characters yet, meaning the counties are not displayed as intended. So as soon as that is corrected we'll share some images with you in #showcase (Discord).

Now I would just like to finish this post with a gigantic thank you to our patrons, who without this would not be possible.

Once again we are always looking for more artists and CK2 developers to join us on this journey. So if you have a skill that you believe could benefit the mod we'd love to hear from you.

Fantastic concept (being an absolute fan of the ancient era ;) Egypt / Greece)
I was wondering if it would be possible to have a French version? :o
