Dawn of a New Age, 1.1 Released! The moment is finally upon us, 1.1 has gone public!! New mirrors will be available further into tonight/ the weekend.

As a young boy growing up in Agathia your father raised you well, brought you up by the sword. Several years ago he went away on a crusade, him and the rest of the powerful Agathian knights. Soon after they left, a rebellious group named the "Mason Order" took over. They killed everyone who opposed them and conscripted anyone who would not join their forces. You were one of those forced into conscription, you would go on to kill your friends, family and country men. When your father and the rest of the Agathian forces returned the Mason Order had completely taken over. Raised an Agathian and battle hardened into a Mason, you are the hybrid, you are the hero of the Age of Chivalry! It is up to you to decide which army to join, which blood to shed and which flag to raise high in glory. King Gauwyn has recently sent a letter to the Agathian King that you managed to read in passing: found here. Is your soul too corrupted from the influence of being in the Mason Order or is the return of your father enough to sway your heart and turn against your current commanders? The choice is yours and the battlefield awaits...

Hey guys, I'm really excited to try this out (will start in 10 minutes), and I was going to film a short, possibly HD video of the game. The game screenshots look amazing, so I'm hoping that this video will give you guys more popularity, cause you guys deserve it.

If there was not such a reach on the weapons, e.g. being hit from half a mile away, and the player actions were actually real time rather than running at half speed, this might be a half decent mod. Visually it is okay, but this is not enough. If the dynamics of the mod a poorly done, it is not a good experience for those just entering the mod.

Those who have been playing it for some time and are used to the slow swing rates, and general lack of overall speed, tend to hammer anyone who have not played it before.

To me, this in itself doesn't make me want to learn how to swing slowly and walk backward, then forwards again and hit from a mile away...

I would suggest that you guys actually pick up a long sword, short sword, axe, mace and bow and learn how they actually feel in ones hands and work, cause if you have, it does not show. Feel the inertia and how the weights of the weapons work. A really good example of older weapons in a mod is PVK2, they have it pretty close.

If you think this is too critical, step back a bit from the under 20s comments who have never held a sword.

BUT, congratulations on releasing the second beta to the public. It is a lot of work and all of you should be very pleased with each other and your mod team. Other than what I comment on above, it works well, is stable and looks good... **** 4 stars.
