The Team here at Fall of Saigon have been putting out some top quality work and today I'd like to share with you some video of our multiplayer map DaNang. Screen shots have not been able to show off the full extent of our animated models and level atmosphere. Even though the level is still a work in progress we are very excited with the way it is turning out. So with without further adieu here is a short video for your viewing pleasure.
We are still looking for to fill some positions on our team. If you are interested in joining us please stop by our website at www.FallofSaigonMod.com and sign up in our forums to let us know you are interested. Some of the positions we are looking for are:
Player Modeler
The Fall of Saigon Team is looking for someone to create the players that we will need. We are looking for someone experienced in character modeling that can bring the US Forces and the NVA/VC to life. We would also like to find someone that can animate these models if the modeler does not have the skills to do this.
Programmer
We are looking for an additional programmer that can assist our lead coder in polishing up the initial alpha and helping with coding of more features as we move forward.
Level Designers and Modelers are also welcome.
If you are interested in helping us in any way. Please contact us at www.FallofSaigonMod.com
Looks really really nice.
Also, it's good to see another mod about my country :D
A suggestion: The name should be either "Đà Nẵng" in Vietnamese or "Danang"/"Da Nang" in English. ;) As far as I know, what you've done here is pretty like what Da Nang was during the war :).
Thanks for the Vietnamese accent marked spelling, we'll work on getting some authentic signs made up with it.
I tried with no luck to find free Viet Tru Type fonts on the net.
BTW we are using actual photos from Da Nang and other cities for reference.
Also, I cant edit my earlier reply. Look for the detail like the fans moving, the fog rolling thru at one point, the wind chimes moving (sound coming for those), water overflowing roofs and gutters and bouncing back up off the street or sidewalk etc. Keep in mind this is pre Alpha. I've seen his finished maps before and it will only get better.
You can type Vietnamese with any Unicode-supported font and a program called Unikey, and you'll have to learn the VNI or TELEX input method.
Good to see another mod about my country. :) Also, good luck developing the mod. I'm watching it now.
Btw, if you need help with accent marks and the language itself, just tell me.
Very nice atmosphere
Thanks Striker. Maybe you could try to make some street or shop signs for us if you have Photoshop or Corel Draw..
