Cant believe how bad a result this is getting. I found it really fun and found the maps very well done.

The only thing was the over usage of dark and zombie infested area.

So out of 10 i would give this a 9.

Well, apart from the normal comments i found this dull and frustrating, some places seem so dark even the flashlight didnt help. The architecture was shameful, just lots of blocks and shapes that didnt really fit in anywhere within a certain place. So it seems like where am i, what am i doing, things didnt seem to add up. No rebels, and just frustrating gameplay.

This mod had so much potential, but failed on so many levels.

"Low on health and ammo, I decided that a container full of marked ammo boxes would be a sure way to ressuply. Happily, I jumped and and demolished the crates, to find a number of shells and clips for my machine gun! Hurray thought I! Then it dawned upon me that the creators had no seen fit to include a way OUT of this much vaunted "ammo container"...

or pehaps this brilliant bit of design..

At the beginning of the mod you are fighting some zombies on a long bridge like structure. The bridge gives way and you fall into darkness ( obviously this was scripted so I play along). After 30-40 seconds, my screen is still black, and there are ocassional howling noises and repeating sound effects....still nothing. is it frozen I ask myself?

No apparently not. After another 15 or so seconds,im greeted by a "LOADING" title that lets me wait another half minute before loading a series of catwalks floating in space.

Remarkably, upon running not too far from where I spawn, the catwalk gives way AGAIn, only this time, I die.

The only way to circumvent this is knowing ADVANCE that the catwalk would shatter, and timing a jump based on your estimates of where the crafty map designer placed the trigger on the catwalk !

Great for-thought fellas!

I've pretty much summed up the mod for you there in those blurbs. The rest is running around like a headless chicken in total darkness through tight corridors with no detail to them , and being molested by repeats of those annoying howling zombies, and the ones who toss the smaller versions from their backs.

Quit to desktop.
Uninstall.

i think it's pretty good for a small campaign. its similar to minvera so i don't mind too much, its a fun little hl2 campaign.

Well, there are people who like it! Like me.

And I think this mod is still very much worth playing through atleast once, even if it is a bit repetetive and not so much not-before-seen.

You will have to wait for more HL2 singleplayer content to come, and this should keep you entertained.

The mod aint much to "look" at..they really need better mappers...but i guess it's good to play for a few laughs if you've had a bad day, i remember the demo, me and my m8 went into a room with zombies, and they all killed eachother accidentaly withouth me needin to shoot 1 bullet :D :D ... OH and in some tunnel, a vent opens and a crab falls to it's death behind me lmfao ...

... so much more could have been done with this concept! =(

I loved the new HUD (nice blue colour!), and as soon as I saw the stun baton I thought to myself how great it was going to be to play for the other team. Fighting against the resistance? Going after Gordon? Taking back captured bases? Having a squad of combine soldiers at your back? How cool would that be?

Then I saw the zombies. Okay, okay, zombies. No big deal. A few mixed in with retaking the base seemed out of place (considering the one soldiers exclaimation), but I can live with that. Oh, it's the whole place that's infested with zombies. There aren't any resistance members. Just screaming zombies. And an obscene amount of headcrabs...

Further along, a bridge collapses mid-combat (why I ask...?), and I tumble downwards to black. Like Mr.Kadish, I wondered what was going on. The sound effects didn't seem to follow any sort of pattern ... was I unconscious? delirious? is the game messing up? ...nope! load-time! it's okay! ... then as I'm nonchalantly walking across yet another platform it suddenly collapses as well and I die. People just don't build bases like they used to. =\

Since then I've become trapped in a storage container where some ammo & health was temptingly placed, jumped down into a pit where there weren't any ladders (a message actually comments on this...), leaped from a catwalk to another flanked by doors to find that neither door will open (I wouldn't mind this but for the explicitly placed incentives to make this jump), and run through so many tight, winding corriders that I wonder who designed this base and how anything was ever accomplished while it was occupied by the living! =\ ... and why the antlions?

That said, there were a few nice touches. Having combine hardware working for you was cool the two times I saw it used - but I suppose it's a given considering you're supposed to be a combine soldier. In a few areas I was impressed by the design as well. But ultimately I was disappointed. This idea has *so* much potential ... but in the end it's just running-and-gunning. A few minutes in and I forgot what I was supposed to be doing and who the character I was playing was. It could just as easily been Gordon.

... Anyways, maybe I've just become spoiled. This definitely isn't MINERVA.

Yes, those kinda "mouse trap" containers, except it is ammo and health, not cheese. Then agian, instead of loading the last save, why not just be cheap and turn some noclip on.

Anyways, pretty good, kept me busy for a bit, but I was hoping to kill more damn rebels. :P

In final, pretty good, but to many zombies.

The later parts where you fight the Half-Life 2 Resistance members is actually kind of fun, and what this mod should have focused more on.

This mod was too dark for my tastes, it smacked of amateurishness that most mods seem to have. ie. cheesy music, boring level design.

Why so dark? Does running around dark levels straining your eyes to see with little ammo make a fun game? Not for me. If I wanted that I'd play Doom 3. Except that Doom 3 was actually an OK game.

At the beginning where the bridge falls down I kept reloading thinking that the game had frozen or that is was some sort of bug. I mean no explanation whatsoever as to what is happening. Just a lot of alien noises and stuff. After googling and finding this site and reading the posts here I realized that I had to wait for the game to "Load".

After loading there is no logical conclusion that can be drawn as to how you arrive at your current location, or how you survived the fall.
I choose not to subject myself to hours of frusturation, therfore I am uninstalling this waste of time.
