Ahoy space buccaneers! Quick news recap before we talk animations: the PC & Mac version
of Planet Buster is out the door, we hosted a small release party at our place on Saturday (pictures here) and Skjalg is staying with the rest of us in Hamburg for the week. Time to rest? Not us! Great progress has been made recently: all movement-related refactoring is pretty much complete including new moves like kicking, ground stomping and spline surfing. Camera support for aiming the ‘flintlock’ as well as combat-related features have been added – but I’m getting ahead of myself here!
What’s the topic of the blog post? Animations! Right. We got ourselves some support in that department and it’s my pleasure to show you some of the character animations our new matey “Dhanu” has been working on. I recorded a video which kicks right off with the reveal of a new enemy-type – this much I’ll give away: it’s a very animal-centric video! Check it out and let us know what you think of the characters and the animations!
