The Canterlot Tech Tree, for the most part, is complete! It's currently being implemented into the game, and with luck, will be playable soon.

Units:

Automaton

Trains from Encastellation

Automatons are robot-like constructs given life by powerful
Unicorn magicks. They are ineffective combatants, but are somewhat difficult to
kill. Rather than regenerating health, Automatons are able to repair and one
another (and War Golems). Their primary use is to construct the buildings that
Canterlot needs.

Irregular Levies

Trains from Encastellation, Mustering Hall

Irregular Levies are comprised of the peasant ponies who
make up the majority of the population of the Empire of Canterlot. Pressed into
service and given a weapon or helmet if they're lucky, they're weak combatants.
They can be upgraded with shortbows for some ranged firepower, or melee weapons
(the model will have a random melee weapon, like a spear or mace) to not be a
pushover in melee. Still, they're weak in small numbers or without leaders
attached to their squads. They generate Canterlot's unique third resource,
Support, which is necessary to recruit elite units.

Governor-General

Trains from Mustering Hall

Canterlot's primary commander unit, the Governor-General is
a capable melee combatant with a sword, and inspires all nearby units.

Swordsponies

Trains from Mustering Hall

Swordsponies are city ponies who take to the battlefields of
the future for pay and plunder. Well-equipped, they make for good front-line
combat units. They neither generate nor cost any Support Resource, but be
mindful not to overly rely on them. Not generating Support Resource means a
fewer number of elite units will be available.

Musketponies

Trains from Mustering Hall

Musketponies are city ponies who take to the battlefields of
the future for pay and plunder. Well-equipped, they are good ranged combatants
who fire matchlock muskets (which can be upgraded to flintlocks at the
Blacksmith) to hurt and panic enemy units. They neither generate nor cost any
Support Resource, but be mindful not to overly rely on them. Not generating
Support Resource means a fewer number of elite units will be available.

Overseer

Trains from Mustering Hall

Overseers are Earth Ponies who lead by example. They can be
attached to irregular squads to greatly boost their prowess in battle, perhaps
allowing them to stand up against the higher quality basic units of the other
factions.

Battlemage

Trains from Mustering Hall

Battlemages are those Unicorns who use their abilities to
directly harm enemies. They generate an aura that slows incoming missiles,
making them a useful addition to irregular squads under fire. Their powerful
magicks, used properly, can turn the tide of battles.

Nightmare

Trains from Mustering Hall

Nightmares are Pegasus Ponies and an offshoot of the Adeptus
Luna, who are themselves descended from the legendary Shadowbolts. They work as
the police force of the Empire, and hunt down the disloyal and disruptive
members of Canterlotian society. Attaching a Nightmare to an irregular squad
makes the squad fearless, able to withstand any mental pressure the enemy
exerts upon them.

Sabbat Warband

Trains from Academy Liaison

Sabbat Warbands are comprised of those Unicorns adept enough
to load and fire crossbows solely with the power of their magic. This allows
them to load and fire their weapons while moving, making them excellent
skirmish or harassment units. Sabbat Warbands require Support Resource to
produce.

War Golem

Trains from Academy Liaison

War Golems are mighty animated stone constructs, capable of
dealing high damage in melee and withstanding heavy punishment. War Golems
require Support Resource to produce.

Haruspex

Trains from Academy Liaison

The Haruspex is a powerful Unicorn blood sorcerer and
Canterlot's secondary command unit, learned in what used to be forbidden magic. If a well-timed
Battlemage spell can turn the tide of a battle, a well-timed Haruspex spell can
turn the tide of a war. On top of being an excellent spellcaster, the Haruspex
is very powerful in melee.

Adeptus Celestia

Trains from Ordo Alicornus Chapter House

The Adeptus Celestia are Canterlot's mightiest warriors,
proudly tracing their lineage back to Celestia's Royal Guard. They are a
nigh-unstoppable melee unit, capable of cutting swathes into enemies even
alone.

Adeptus Luna

Trains from Ordo Alicornus Chapter House

The Adeptus Luna are Pegasus Ponies who proudly trace their
lineage back to the Shadowbolts. Their speed and skill in melee combat makes
them excellent specialist units. The process of being an adept of Luna involves
years of magical transformation by powerful Haruspices, leaving them as
half-pony half-magic monsters that can even breathe fire.

Dragon

Trains from Dragon Roost

Canterlot's master-vassal relationship with the conquered
Draconic State is more than simply for show. A fully matured dragon is a
fearsome sight and nearly an army in its own right, incinerating enemies with
its powerful fire breath and tearing apart other fliers with its claws.
