Post news Report RSS Black Flames is on hold

Everyone who has been tracking Black Flames, I'm sorry to announce this, but my Windows Vista is now officially broken. No matter what I do, I cannot get it to go past the lading screen. This means that I have now lost all of my work on Black Flames, because I forgot to back it up on a flash drive.

Everyone who has been tracking Black Flames, I'm sorry to announce this, but my Windows Vista is now officially broken. No matter what I do, I cannot get it to go past the lading screen. This means that I have now lost all of my work on Black Flames, because I forgot to back it up on a flash drive.

But fear not, for this mod is NOT DEAD, for once I get a new computer, I will restart my work on the mod, and it will be better than ever!

So for now, Black Flames is on hold, but LordXamot still has the whole story, and all the voice acting clips with him, so not ALL progress has been lost.

Sorry for all of this, but its all really out of my control.

You can still save those files you know.

You can get the files back. Download an application called Hirens Bootdisk. Burn it to a disk and then boot from it. It will give you an option to boot into MiniXP. From here, you can browse all of your files and then back them up.

If this doesn't work, a clean install of Vista will give you the option to back up all your files to a folder called windows.old in your C:\ Drive.

Too many people still learning the importance of backing up their work this way. As Joker and Mitch said, you don't have to lose it all. You have options. Just use one that's feasible for you and get back to work.
