The changelog for the upcoming release of the Battlefield 2 airsoft modification.The log does not include every single change, but only changes that will have an impact on how the game feels when played.
I've been working on almost every aspect of the mod this time, not just fixing bugs, tweaking or adding content.
It's has been a very long process getting everything to work out as it should, but I can now say that it's coming closer.

Highlight:
New weapons: M4 with ACOG and vertical grip and G36c with EOTech sight.
New maps and new layers for existing maps.
Gamemode tweaks: eliminated to chance of having to wait 4 minutes for two bots to find each other.
Multiplayer is now supported.
Reworked BB system.

M24 3p fire sound bug fix.
M24 3p reload sound bug fix.
M92 silenced 3p sound bug fix.
Die 3p sound bug fix.
Soundflash grenade 3p sound bug fix.
Shotgun 3p fire and reload sound bug fix.
Adjusted M24 sound travel distance.
Soldier bullet impact sound volume reduced.
Updated GBB MP7 sound to make it more real.
M4 family reload sound updated with nicer bolt pull.
Fixed a bug with the predator AT weapon 3p sound.
Updated some reload sounds to include the sound of a pouch opening.
Changed the electric mag wind up sound.

Added a SCAR-L GBBR + new kit with the weapon.

Added silenced version of chinese pistol + night version.
- Added weapon to some kits.
- Night version comes with tracer.
- Inludes new (upgraded) sound.
- Fixed a minor error with the zoom on both models.
Fixed a problem with M429 and PKM magsize that caused server crash if used by player.
- Updated HUD to reflect change + corrected bug.
- Adjusted deviation.
Added L85 night version with tracer + new kit with the weapon.
Added M24 night including new kit.
Lowered magsize for the G36c from 100 BBs to 70 BBs.
Updated M203UGL to fire a bit further and not spread as much.
- Weapon isn't useless anymore.
Decreased predator AT weapon accuracy and damage.
SniperRifle BB flight changed.
- The BB will now start with higher speed but deaccelerate much faster.
Completely rewamped the BB flight system.
- BBs start out with higher speed.
- BBs drop at little faster.
- BBs loose speed faster.
Added AI info to the tornado grenades.
Lowered the projectile start position to around -0.1.
Removed the fire animation for a lot of weapons.

Updated a lot of kits with a more fitting name.
Several new kits to address a couple of new weapon configurations.
Added AntiTank night kit.
Added new night kit with the new G36c.
Fixed a problem that caused wrong kit geometries.

------------ T E X T U R E A N D S K I N S -----------

Changed one of the night skyboxes. (not as dark)
Updated skin for G3A3.
NEW skin for M4 desert - by Alpha Project/JONES.
Updated ch_light_soldier skin.
Changed the tracer slightly.
- Made the std. bf2 tracer much weaker.
- Changed the custom tracer to show a little more often.
"US_Heavy_Soldier" woodland texture changed.
"US_light_Soldier" normal and woodland texture changed.
Mec_heavy woodland texture tweaked.

------------ H U D ------------

Custom Kit icons, SMG, Rifle, Scoped Rifle, Support, Pistol (+ silenced).
Custom Spawn icons for M4 scope, G36c eotech and MP5 silencer.
New red dot texture.
Script that allows you to change the power of the dot and switch between red and green dot.
- Works with EOTech.
- Works with Aimpoint style recticle.
- Lowered the dot slightly to simulate zeroing.

------------ M A P S ------------

New map: RoadRunner, medium hills in a forest and trenches in the open area of the map.
New map: Town Strike, medium sized city with lot of possibilities and different layouts.
Changed lightsetting on Harvest (night).
- More light.
Updated several maps to include new kit combinations.
Removed Jones skins from abandoned village.
Added new layer to Road To Jalalabad.
- Both day and night layer.
Taraba Quarry, replaced coop64 with vbf2 sp16 and removed most vehicles.
Harvest, new 16 singleplayer layer.
Changed number of tickets in coop to reflect team advantages and adjust the length of the game.

------------ M I S C ------------

Changed material of a solid fence to hopefully get rid of bots shooting through.
- Changed a different parameter and it seems like it works.
Updated the tracer muzzle flash to look more real.
Increased soldier movement speed slightly.
Decreased acceleration slightly.
Increased wait time after jump with 0.1.
Increased Sound Flash grenade effect.
Increased vehicle speed.
Included a list of kits available, with examples of kit combinations.
Added a python code (No respawn gamemode) that ends the round when no humans players are alive.
Removed a couple of text files.
All bots now carry a tag in front of their name for easy identification during multiplayer games.

That's all for this time, it's likely that the actual release will include other changes of some interest.

We're also working on "rallypoints", these are backpacks you can spawn on, like PR, but they'll last about 15-30 seconds not to make the game too easy :) An asset mainly for Multiplayer, because you can only spawn in the base and now you'll be able to spawn on your squad if you die.

Yellow plastic bbs and toys are far too dangerous to simulate in a video game. I motion that the toys be replaced by hand gestures and verbalizing "bang bang bang"
