Among Seas of Dust 0.5 is a balancing act; I am attempting to make the game better by balancing NPCs to the player. So, ASoD 0.5 implements a couple of changes to make this happen.
First of all, NPCs and Players now have equal HP if they were flying the same ship: your slasher frigate no longer has 550hp to their 150.
Next, gun damage for players and NPCs is scaled by 2n+2 so both sides have a change at each other. Now the player has to fly smarter or die, and so do the NPCs.
Finally, Passive shield regeneration has been added to both, so your shields and their shields regenerate. This does not apply to hull, meaning that if you get into someone's structure, they can't get that back in space.

In addition, a few irritating bugs were hunted down and eliminated. Specifically, the cruise-death bug, dock-cruise bug, and the slasher miner being called a deathbringer.
