Starting with the new year also Epsylon comes along with some progress and the first news post on ModDB. Epsylon is a Game Project build from Scratch powered by Drag(en)gine, an open source and crossplatform game engine beeing part of the entire Epsylon project. Although crossplatform the engine is targeted for Un*x based operating systems in the first place. Thus go train some Tuxes to be prepared for this one in the future.

As most progress and work is done on the non-visual part of the engine I'll post today two pictures of the project. Make sure to have a look at the Image Gallery or check out the Epsylon Project Page to get hold of a better view of the entire project including Character Artworks, Some Renders, Story, Character Descriptions and more.

Here now the two pictures before I go. Our Artwork artist Grogdon produced some nice drawings for the Castle in the fourth chapter and more are in work. The left image is one of them. On the right side an in-game shot which shows the first lighting implementation on a testing map. Already implemented is the Console not visible now and some trigger entities.

Also with the new year the Project starts too opening for additional co-workers. Details will be posted on the mod profile page in the near future. For the beginning people interested in creating models or textures are welcome.
