The alpha of Chameleon Sight is out! Try it and give us feedback to improve the game!

Posted by on

Who are we?

We are two French students who are studying video games in a school called Supinfogame. Currently working on a thesis project, we are developing Chameleon Sight in another context: a competition organized by a French renowned newspaper called Le Monde.

What are we trying to do with this game?

Our main intention is to disturb the player's habits, by offering him a dual view of the world from a single avatar. It is strange at the first glance, but you will learn with time.

Moreover, we love to share scientific knowledge through games, that's why all the main game mechanisms are based on real facts (We do, however, slightly stretch the scientific reality to offer more fun).

What is inside?
- 5 levels including a tutorial
- the save system
- most of the graphic design assets
- the main game mechanisms

What are we planning to add?
- tweaking the game depending on the user's feedback
- 5 levels
- 2 game elements
- improving the HUD
- implements sounds
- achievements

If you have any questions, we'll be glad to answer. And beside give us your feedback to help us improve the game!

Alpha is here!

(There is an english flag on the top right corner of the main menu)

Have a nice day!

Thanks you for your comment. You didn't like guessing where the centre is in order to aim a fly or to move the avatar? (or both?)

We are thinking of a solution. Since aiming is part of the challenge, we don't want to display the center of each eye by defualt. Moreover, the "miss" remains an important gameplay element. Accordingly, we're thinking of solutions to avoid abuse of the space bar. Maybe a low fade on the opacity or an implementation in the score system.
