It's a basket of surprises! We had so much stuff to update on, we split it into 3 days of updates.

Earlier we talked about City17 being completely broken. Thanks to the recent SDK update, we've been back on track. In the 3 days that have past we somehow managed to redo all of our current code, optimise it, add some new features, and finish half a new map. It's insane.

Because of that build up of city17 being broken, there's been quite a lot of things we've wanted to do. Finally that everything works now we can start rolling out the updates, starting with this first News Post of a planned 3 day series. 3 days of sheer city17 up in your face.

Some extra things we've also done with our code is fixing the Projector casting onto a viewmodel.

Some long time ago we talked about making a video of gameplay, and at that even a trailer. Well, we'll be getting to that trailer soon, but before that enjoy a random 5 minutes of gameplay. We made it with love.

You gonna make custom skins or other stuff? regulate so you cant have 10 weapons on you?

No custom skins, or weapons, just you won't be carrying the full arsenal at all times.

Is there any scripting that could be done to make NPC allies more aware of events like a door about to blow and react accordingly?

We've taken a lot of inspiration from HL2 and EP1, we've together have spent days just playing those games over and over. Our overall goal is to make city17 as believable of a remake as it can possibly be, however the player won't be in the exact areas as he was in ep1, theres are completely new sections of streets, and eventually later a few new environments.

Love the car headlight on as a main light for the section of the map. Give the "It just happened and I missed it!" look to it and looks great as well.. nice work on the quality of the maps and the screenshots...

are you at least going to change the hand models so not the hev hands cause I get so sick of mods that wont even do just that I mean this mod is alright with no new weapons thats not a propblem but I really think that at least the hand models for the first person camrea should be changed to the one that the normal rebels have or something like that.
