It's been over a year since I last updated you guys on the progress of this game. If you're in the Phoenix Discord you'll know that we haven't left the community in the dark, but most of you all watching are not in the Discord so it's only fair to update the followers on our actual distribution platform.
We have been working hard on finalizing the story of the game and programming gameplay elements. Since I announced last year that the project is leaving its second pre-production phase, we have spent lots of time coding experimental functions, such as adaptive music, and testing some elements.
We now feel with gameplay and mechanics testing aside that the main creation phase of the campaign is ready to start. This means that by the end of the year, we will hopefully have lots of single-player gameplay to show off.
However, I don't want to leave you empty-handed. Later this month, our partners at Rogue Lambda are hosting a showcase event on YouTube and have kindly invited us to showcase Half-Life: Zombies Ate My Neighbours. We will use that opportunity to show off the gameplay elements we've been working on around our busy personal lives for so long, as well as some concept art for the fictional city of New Roma and a more in-depth synopsis of the story. Additionally, we will be releasing a DEMO of ZAMNHL on August 4th so that you can try some of these gameplay elements and let us know what you think. As well as this, the first PPT (Public Playtest Build) of the next major ZAMNHLMP update is live on GitHub, so you can tell us what you think of that too, with the aid of its in-depth changelog.
