Well CoD2 is very limited when it comes down to lights. We have only sun casting specular highlights and no preview of how a light looks like. But it does support scenes like this where you scale down the shadow scale and they look sharper. So you can make a interior scene with good looking baked lights.
how do you scale shadows? i thought that it's not possible
Check the “samplescale” box, and then set a value if you would like to scale all lightmaps. A value of 2 will double the pixel size, a value of 0.5 halves it. Again, this option should remain unchecked in most cases.
**this is from the documentation, so you just put 0.2 or 0.3 in the box and it takes longer to compile but the difference is noticable
